Division of Operations
Sep 10 CDPH Team

The Operations Division is comprised of three branches. Each of the three branches works cohesively to coordinate the federal public health and medical preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.  Response Operations validates operational missions, coordinates the provision of health and medical resources, monitors the deployment of teams and caches, and identifies and fills shortfalls or gaps in the organization’s ability to support response operations. Field Operations performs operational services to effectively identify and deploy public health and medical personnel and teams for response to all-hazards incidents or support special events.

The Secretary’s Operations Center (SOC) operates 24/7/365. The mission of the SOC is to be the focal point for synthesis of critical public health and medical information on behalf of the United States Government. The SOC maintains real-time situational awareness of incidents and events of public health significance.
